Alaska Health Insurance Exchange

After the Affordable Care Act was implemented in 2010 by President Obama, the Governor of Alaska stated that Alaska he won't fund the health insurance exchange. Most states are opposed to this part of the Affordable Care Act. However over half of the citizens still don't understand what the Health Insurance Exchange is or what is will do for them.

With the requirement that all state health insurance exchanges are required to be implemented by 2014 the state of Alaska has started to use a Federally-Facilitated Health Insurance Exchange.
